Take part in unique opportunities

Events, trips and College projects explore key principles of marketing, finance, and enterprise, while you gain real-world experience.

Business students this year were tasked with developing a new coffee brand for all East Kent Colleges Group sites.

They pitched their ideas to a panel of judges, showcasing their entrepreneurial skills and gaining real presentation experience.

Joshua was chosen as the winner, and went on to showcase his brand in a final pitch in Canterbury, where he competed against other Colleges in the area.

“Going to Canterbury Christ Church University was one of the best trips we went on.

“It gave me an idea of what university life is all about, so I can think about this in the future as an option.

“I would recommend the course as it gives you an insight into these things and lets you be confident.”

“I’ve been learning where my next step could be and how I can action that.

“One example was when we went to ‘Launch It’, where we explored how to start your own business.

“The skills I’ve picked up I can now use in a workplace. I’ve also made good friends along the way.”

“I like studying Business here because it’s practical. You can get actual events organised and play a part in them.

“They didn’t do a business course at my school and I thought it would be nice to just have knowledge on the business industry so I could go into any role.

“I definitely recommend it because I love it. To be honest, I wish it was longer!”
