Our Facilities
EKC Sheppey College’s facilities are available to all students and staff and some members of the public.
Learning Resource Centre
You will find a wealth of resources and services in the Learning Resources Centre (LRC) to support you in your studies. These include:
- Latest coursebooks including ebooks
- Fiction books and easy readers
- Newspapers and magazines
- Bookable computers for study
- Laptops for loan within the LRC
- Internet access with dedicated online resources
- Scanning, laminating and binding
- Student rooms for presentation and group work
Our Wellbeing Hub is also located in our LRC, giving students a quiet place to relax when they need it.
The Salon
Our high-street-quality commerical salon offers a range of hair, beauty and nail treatments under the supervision of industry experts.
It is the perfect place to unwind and get that little bit of time just for yourself – without breaking the bank.
Appointments are available throughout term time, but at certain points in the academic year appointments may be unavailable.
Students can get a variety of treatments at reduced rates, as well as the chance to be models for our Hair and Beauty students during assessments.
Our Refectory
Our Refectory is open during the day, catering for breakfast and main meals plus a wide range of Hot Snacks, Fresh Baguettes and Sandwiches.
Hot and cold drinks are also served during the day, including a selection of Coffees, Teas and Hot Chocolate.
