As part of your final project, how you meet the brief is entirely up to you. From creating podcasts, to horror films, music videos to photography portfolios, you’ll be able to explore whichever side of the media you’re interested in.

Thanks to investment into our facilities, all Creative and Design students have access to unique technologies, including large format printers, 3D printers, and VR (Virtual Reality) headsets.
These facilities will help you build the skills and confidence you need to succeed in a wide variety of projects.
Get further involved with College events
During your studies, you’ll have the chance to get involved with College events, such as Freshers Fayres.
At these, you can build your creative portfolio by becoming an ‘event photographer’ for the day, taking pictures with DSLR cameras
Sell your designs in College
As an EKC Sheppey College student, you will take part in social action projects throughout the year.
We lead a variety of projects as a way of giving back to the local community.
Some former Creative students have even gone on to sell their own 3D designs for these, gaining valuable entrepreneurial experience while studying.
Work with creative professionals for unique workshops
As you study with us, you’ll work with industry professionals inside and outside College to gain new experiences and opportunities.
Thanks to expert guidance from Animation Nation, Creative Media have turned photosets into fun short films.
Filled with storyboarding, character design, and animating, this activity shows the kind of creative work you can expect in our Creative Media courses throughout the year.

3D Printer business success for Creative Media student

Role description
Photographers, audio-visual and broadcasting equipment operators operate and assist with still, cine and television cameras, operate other equipment to record, manipulate and project sound and vision for entertainment, cultural, commercial and industrial purposes and operate drones to provide aerial video and photographs.
