At EKC Sheppey College, Creative Media and Computing students use the latest cutting-edge technologies, helping them build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in a range of creative industries.

Whether you’re passionate about digital art, video production, or 3D design, we have everything you need to bring your ideas to life.

Explore just a few of the technologies waiting for you at College:

Virtual Reality Headsets

Virtual Reality (VR) headsets are one of the most exciting technologies in media and computing today. At College, you’ll explore VR in our Immersive Classroom, where you’ll step into virtual environments and push the boundaries of what’s possible.

VR is used across many industries, including gaming, education, and entertainment, and by working with these headsets, you’ll gain valuable experience that will make you stand out in the digital world.

Green Screens

Green screens are an essential tool in film, TV, and video production. With these, you shoot footage against a green backdrop, which is then replaced with any background in post-production.

Our students regularly use green screens for a range of projects, from short films to promotional videos. You’ll learn how to master the art of post-production editing, gaining skills that are in demand in the media industry.

To create professional-quality videos with dynamic effects and backgrounds, using the green screens is a perfect opportunity.

Graphic Tablets

Graphic tablets transform your creative vision into detailed digital art. At College, you’ll use graphic tablets to create detailed illustrations, design posters, and enhance photographs in software such as Photoshop.

These tablets give you precision and control, so that you produce high-quality work, just like professionals do in the creative industries.

3D Printers

3D printing is revolutionising the way we create physical objects from digital designs.

On our courses, you’ll work with 3D printers, which will turn your digital models into real objects. Whether you’re designing prototypes for product development or creating models for animation and gaming, 3D printing opens endless possibilities.

Students have used our 3D printers to create props for events, and designed unique models for their projects, including animation.

DSLR Cameras

DSLR cameras are essential tools for anyone interested in photography and videography.

You’ll learn how to use these high-quality cameras to capture stunning photos and videos for your projects. From photographing College events like the Hairdressing competitions or working on personal pieces, the DSLR cameras at the College will help you develop your skills and build your professional portfolio.

You’ll learn how to adjust settings, use different lenses, and frame shots for the best possible results. To take your photography or filmmaking to the next level and produce industry-standard content, here is a great place to start your education.
