These facilities will help you build the skills and confidence you need to succeed in a wide variety of projects.

Whether you’re passionate about becoming a Mechanical Engineer, a Project Manager or a Graphic Designer, we have everything you need to bring your ideas to life.

Explore just a few of the technologies waiting for you at College:

CNC Routers:

Our CNC (Computer Numerical Control) router uses computer-controlled movements to cut, carve and engrave stationary materials with high precision.

These machines are widely used across industries including woodworking, metalworking and manufacturing, so you develop vital skills that employers actively look for.

A key part of our T Level Engineering course is understanding material properties, and this machine helps you do just that.

Large-Format Printers

Found in our Creative Media classroom, the HP DesignJet Z6 PostScript Printer delivers high-quality, professional large-format printing.

This industry-standard machine allows you to produce posters, photography, branding materials and detailed design work with exceptional colour accuracy and clarity.

Using this printer, you can take your ideas from screen to print in minutes, helping you understand the full creative process from concept through to final production. Whether you are developing marketing visuals or showcasing graphic design projects, this machine helps you build a portfolio that stands out to employers and universities alike.

CNC Lathes:

In a CNC Lathe, the cutting tools remain stationary while the material being cut rotates.

This machine is used to create cylindrical parts and symmetrical shapes. In industry, lathes like our Denford Turn 270 Pro CNC Lathe are commonly used to produce parts such as shafts and bolts.

Lathes are essential in manufacturing, so studying with us means you gain experience with the same tools used in industry.

Glowforge Performance Lasers:

In Creative Media, the Glowforge lasers cut and engrave designs onto materials such as wood, acrylic, leather and more. This means you turn digital artwork into physical products, from signage and packaging to personalised merchandise and detailed creative pieces.

It allows you to experiment with texture, layering and precision cutting, helping you bring ideas off the screen and into real-world formats used in branding, product design and visual displays.

Creative Computing Labs

Our new Computing Labs provide a modern, open-plan environment that supports collaboration, creativity and focused study. The layout encourages students to work together on projects, share ideas easily and learn in a space that feels professional and connected.

Whether you are coding, designing digital content or developing technical skills, the labs offer a cohesive setting that mirrors real-world workplaces, helping you build confidence working both independently and as part of a team.

Whether you already have a clear career goal or are still discovering what excites you, College is a place where your ideas can flourish. You’ll grow in confidence and see your ambitions start to take shape.
