Hairdressing students work within the Sheppey Salon. Not only does this facility replicate a working salon, students also get to work with real clients. Completing appointments with real customers who have different needs and requests, helps students to work on their time management, customer service and communication skills.

You will acquire practical skills that can be useful in any job, such as time management, organisation, and communication.

Early Years students complete work placements in a variety of nurseries around the island. During work placements students are expected to make their own way to work, communicate with their employer and treat their time at the company like a real job. Often this pushes students out of their comfort zones, but in doing so encourages them to become more independent and mature.
