On the course, you’ll gain key practical skills by using industry-standard
machines and software in our brand new engineering workshops.
You will cover a range of in-depth topics such as:
- Understanding material properties – how materials, conditions and context
influence design processes and products
- Working in the engineering and manufacturing sectors
- Mathematics for engineering and manufacturing
- Principles of business, commerce, and finance
You’ll also get the chance to focus on a specific area of engineering that
interests you. By learning more about an occupational specialism, you’ll build
extra skills to achieve your progression goals.
Your academic studies will also be combined with a 45-day work experience
placement with a local employer.
In your placement, you will further develop what you’ve learnt in College and
gain valuable experiences that are wanted by employers across the
world.
